Yeah, if I'm the coach, I don't even look in the team's direction until the next puck drop. Change nothing.

I'm not kidding when I tell you that this might be the most lopsided Rangers win I've ever seen according to the stats.

Not only is Buchnevich deserving of it but balancing the shots a little bit makes so much sense. Why have 4 RH 1 LH on one unit and 4 LH and one RH in the other? Makes no sense. Putting Buch in that spot gives you a one time option from both circles.

It’s been a gigantic pet peeve of mine since early last season when Strome has had his spot on that unit cemented for whatever reason.

I agree. PP1 is not working, partly because there's no one time option on the right side.

. What’s interesting is that we are loaded with defensemen in the system. Even before drafting Schneider we still have Nils, Robertson, and Zac Jones

Why not keep that Kreider-Mika-Buch like together for PP1 with Panarin and DeAngelo at point? Seems more reasonable than forcing Strome in there.

I figured a dog was behind all of Shayna's work.

But for real, I'm looking forward to the day that she takes over on the athletic. No disrespect to Carp who uh... has some awesome stories to tell about the days of yesteryear but shes a gazillion times more insightful.

Man. This is an easy team to feel excited about moving forward. Not saying they're gonna compete THIS year, but all this youth, talent and our "veterans" arent 35 yr old re-treads for once... pretty awesome. As a fan of this team, its always been hard to say "Whos sweater would I buy?" and it'd be a guy here or there... here its like... most of the damn team! Very cool.

That 2nd line is ugly asf, but I get the thinking behind it. And if someone like Kreider is on your 2nd line, you have a pretty deep offense.
 
I would just put Chytil and Kakko on the PP 2nd unit in the place of Howden and Lemieux. But I'll admit that Chytil's performance on the dots doesn't help my cause.
 
You can’t give star offensive kids 10 mins a game and expect them produce when they’ve been playing 20 plus a night their entire lives Quinn has to find mins for chytil and kakko and not playing them on the PP is a huge disservice to them. They need to be put in offensive situations

Why the f*** is Lemieux and Howden playing over Kakko on PP2? What is the answer to this. Someone ask Quinn for me. I'm so baffled by this.

I'm not even a Quinn hater, I am guilty of disliking a ton about Howdens game. Does this bother anyone else or am I taking crazy pills?!

No, because PP2 looked better than PP1 for most of the night
 
This board after 1st game: We are going 0-56 and won't score a goal all year, DQ should be fired immediately, Kakko is a bust, Panarin is over the hill, Zibs is overrated, Trouba should be demoted to AHL. Too funny.

A top 10-15 center in the league vs. two defensemen who have real potential to be top pairing guys. And Miller possibly has star potential. If he and Lindgren both reach their potential (they actually seem to be surpassing it), I don’t know which trade is better.
