I know Quinn really loves the Kreider-Zibanejad-Buch line, but if the team plays poorly today again I think he will need to break it up. I think it is hard to find good combinations for line 2 and 3 right now that gel together.

This place deserves a gold medal for revisionist history. Now, Ruff is a good coach again, Fast is a top 6 F that the Panarin line so desperately needs. What's next? Marc Staal is a solid minutes-eater who would complete this team?

strome to line 3 fixes a lot of issues IMO

Panarin Mika Kakko
Kreider Chytil Buchnevich
Lafreniere Strome Gauthier
Lemieux Howden DiGi

Where are the posts here regarding "We need to stop recycling coaches from the Old guard and bring in young coaches with a modern, fresh look at the new NHL?

I'm not for or against the potential veteran coach idea at this point, but I thought this board somewhat agreed that during this modified rebuild bringing that unproven, new, young, successful minor league or college coaches was def the way to go.
Have we graduated to be looking to hiring or pining for veteran coaches on other teams and that that's the answer?

Also Chytil still holds the puck too long and constantly tries to stick handle through the NZ. If no one is open slow the play down, communicate to your wingers and just get it deep where they’ll have a decent chance to battle for the puck, and then get on your horse to make a play or read the room and get ready to backcheck/ steal the puck back. Play meat grinder hockey and keep it close, when we play the Devils we can practice our figure skating moves

How do you know the message wasn't received and it wasn't just Quick overreacting? How would Quick even measure the message being received after the game?

How do you know Tony perfectly understands what he did wasn't ok? Quinn said they talked about it, and Tony is scratched. 2+2=4.

I stayed off the board until today, making believe as much as possible that the game never happened lol. Feels good to be here venting a little with the glimmer of hope that ‘tonight will be better’

This is like the quota system in South Africa. Yeah, it's good to go "fishing in a different pond" but it's by no means a guarantee that it will end up being a better decision.

I like that some NHL teams are giving new people a shot. That doesn't mean we should just ignore it when those new coaches aren't performing.

This is one of those things that management does better than fans. There are very few good coaches in the NHL and going the route of tried and true is usually better way to go.

Lol Lindy Ruff is arguably the worst head coach in the league.

Quinn’s gone straight up stupid, but we’ve got loads of data to support how bad ruff is.

Thats not Chytil's game at this point, its why he wont displace Strome while he is here, it doesn't put Panarin in a position to succeed. Im really interested to see panarin strome Lafreniere tonight if that is the plan.
