I know our fan base is notoriously impatient But it was only one game and honestly I didn’t think he was as bad as some are saying. It doesn’t help that Quinn has such a short leash in him or that Panarin had maybe his worst game as a ranger. I think we just need to take a breath lol the kid is going to be good. We just have to let him go through the process
 
Sitting ADA is fine if it was clear that his shit wasn’t to be tolerated. That’s on ADA not Quinn

But it is a total panic move to switch up the lines and pairings the way he has, as well as keeping Johnson in the lineup.

Demoting Kakko is a head scratcher to me. I’m worried that it will prove to be more of a negative than a positive.

And separating Fox and Lindgren? Really?

Lol hes played one game this season where his LW decided that he wanted to see what it would have been like if he had signed with the Islanders in the summer of 2019.

I know it would require this team to SCORE, but would you have been happy had Kakko picked up a few secondary assists where he didn't really do anything? Because thats what 2 of Jack Hughes' points are.

not even sure he should get an assist today bc it looked like a double deflection of Ty Smith’s shot.
 
I'm actually interested to see how badly Quinn mishandles this game tonight. Mabye he'll bench Fox for no reason. Maybe he'll play JJ 28 minutes despite looking like a headless chicken out there. Or maybe he'll promote Howden to the top PP and 1st line. Could we see Panarin or Zibanejad benched? All things that make absolutely no sense seem possible with this coach.

I've not been a part of the fire Quinn crowd but it's too short of a season to bench TDA to send a message. This is biting off your nose to spite your face. If the Rangers lose tonight he should be fired.

Sure but it also maybe about Lafreniere showing that he’s ready for top6, just compounded by the fact that Kakko didn’t have a strong game.
On defense, once you accept ADA sitting out - other moves kind of a necessity and a way to keep JJ out of top pair. Can’t even go back to Smith - Trouba pairing because Smith needs to fill a RD spot.

And of course we need to remind ourselves that there was no preseason to tryout these moves.

He intercepted a pass, took it away and held it at the point for a sec then passed to the other point and their shot got deflected in. He was a significant part of the play lol
 
I’m more upset that Quinn is putting Jack Johnson next to Adam Fox than I am about benching DeAngelo. This is a criminal offense frankly. You want to bury your franchise dman? Give him the worst player in the league as a partner

I have a feeling the Rangers will look much better tonight and we’ll spend the next few days on the board bitching about how badly we over reacted instead of bitching about how badly we played. Then we’ll lose a game 5-1 in about a week and we’ll be saying the same things we’ve been saying since the opener. And the yo-yo will go on for 56 games.

If we're yoyo-ing like this we'll be a bottom feeder. Better hope there's a lot more of the positive.
