I don't remember the other games off the top of my head but that first half of the Montreal comeback game...

Georgiev singlehandedly bailed out porous JV defense out on too many occasions. Was last year that long ago? Perhaps - but I don't forget what he's done for us. I'm a believer.

Ok, I'll post something positive. I know Laf's playing out of position but I'm excited to see that new Panarin line.

"Out of position" is a stretch. Lafrenière feels just as comfortable playing on the right side. Especially offensively, there's no difference with the style he plays. Panarin is the same way. They are both dynamic wingers and their position just determines where they line up for the face off, nothing more.

Laf playing the off-wing means he’ll have a better angle of attack on the forehand.

Absolutely agree with this. They are both guys who can lineup on either side because they’re dynamic and they flow around the offensive zone. Regardless of where they start a shift, you’ll see them on both sides of the ice throughout various possessions. Laf won’t be out of place at all.

I agree, hence either great or terrible.

We're not saying the same thing. No part of my statement is that he's been terrible.

You: He's either great or terrible.
Me: He's either great or he's statistically poor (4-5 GA) and preventing us from getting humiliated 10-2.

I don’t think it’s that . Still , he shouldn’t be sitting
When he took the double minor, I remember thinking to myself, man that's the wrong time to be taking one. It was early in the third and if the team was going to mount a rally, it had to do it early. That double minor was the nail in the coffin. So, I don't think it is social media yet I think it's the double minor for slamming the door, the timing of it, and maybe keeping Tony on his toes from getting too comfortable with himself.

I've watched his games and take soft goals against into consideration, I think you're giving him way too much credit and hell despite being a piss poor defensive team for years now giving the Rangers too much shit. How often does 10-2 happen? I think it's happened once since I've been watching against the Stars n 08-09 I think. Also lost to Toronto 9-2 a few years before that. That's hyperbole on your part.

Ultimately we're on the same team here - but reread.

My claim is that even when Georgiev was losing 5-2 last year, he was actually quite strong. There were several starts in which the score WOULD HAVE BEEN 8-2 or 9-2 if he wasn't incredible for parts of the game.

What I'm saying is that 8-2 and 9-2 don't happen that often so I'm not sure that's true.

Been said a 1000 times already, so I will make 1001. Sitting Tony for that is ridiculous. He was almost literally our only offensive weapon. He was making plays, and moving the puck. His worst game JJ cannot even match. Granted he is not our BEST defensive defenseman, but JJ is better? Sitting Smith game one was 1st mistake. This is his 2nd already on back end.
We need HELP defensively, so yeah lose Fast and now JJ is his "go to" guy? OMG, I am gonna toss my cookies.

Also, what does that mean, JJ getting lots of minutes? Overworking Fox, Lindgren, Trouba and especially the kid?

Would have made a helluva lot of more sense to sit k'Andre to get a better perspective after his 1st game. OMG. Tony is ALWAYS the whipping boy, would they have sat Trouba if he had done the same? Fox? This is ridiculous.

I've supported Quinn, but now he is starting to get on my last nerve. Don't sit a player I ENJOY watching, for better or worse.
Not even to mention that Tony LOVES mixing it up, he doesnt take any shit. And we NEED many more like him. My take.
