Gulls blew a 2-0 lead and lost in OT, too.

We had 0 shots in OT! ::: sighs :::

Gibby held on as much as he could. He faced two breakaways that lead to goals: 1vG in regulation and 2vG in OT. If we aren't scoring more, then we have to be more than perfect. Our young D did get exposed in this game defensively, though they both did help getting goals on the board. Just need more offense.

Franky broke his stick on the boards after the loss. He's a heart and soul guy and him.not scoring is really getting to him. I feel for him but he needs to get out of it. Especially this is a contract year for him. He knows

I thought they played well. Helleson looks NHL ready in the few games he’s played. Vatrano is getting chances which is what you want, he’s got to put one in eventually. Harkins has really impressed me. Willing to hit, a strong skater and looks dangerous at times. He’s someone who should stick around even when the team gets healthy.

Cronins use of Killorn is still very puzzling. He’s not a first liner and he certainly isn’t someone you put out there on a 3 on 3. The damn referees are faster than him.

The improvement in overall play is clear. It's nice to see the Ducks more competitive. Some players are finally playing up to expectations. I would rather be frustrated with an overtime loss they could have won than getting blown out and scoring meaning goals. All that being said, there are still a number of questionable decisions from the coaching staff. It's hard to justify. Cronin needs to go and they should hire Montgomery.

Vatrano will balance out; it's just a rough stretch. Killorn is the true forward issue. He genuinely kills plays and makes terrible decisions that often result in turnovers. It's astounding how bad he has been. It's also getting harder to justify LaCombe's mistakes each game. I'm not sure why some want to trade Fowler so soon. He's much better than LaCombe right now.

Leo really struggled tonight. He's had games before where he didn't do much because the other team took away his space. Tonight he had space and just didn't make plays. It started with that bad pass to Killorn on the mini 2-on-1.

nah this foo needs to go

Remember last season when he demoted McTavish to the fourth line after a bad stretch, and when asked was like "oh yeah that was just to balance out the lines"?
Or, pretty sure it was the same game, when he benched Zegras and when asked about it was like "oh it was just because the shifts worked out that way" even though we all saw other players out skating with Zegras' line?

Coach Accountability through a Firehose really leading by example.

Zegras has 4 points in his last 4 games. Leo has 4 points in his last 4 games also, since being put together. Just sayin…. Points are not easy to come by on this team.

I Wonder if MacT is back on Monday. Cronin said he was close.

He will indeed be back Monday is my guess. He’s showed he can play hurt if needed, they see doing so means mac isn’t nearly fully productive. Now they want him at 100% healthy

I disagree that him getting shoved down really shows anything honestly. He was put in a really tough spot by his teammate. There are pretty obvious examples around the league of elite defensemen that are the same size as him right now

Zellweger getting shoved out of position doesn't show anything? His stature will limit how effective he is. Just look how easily he was bumped off the puck. His turnover in OT is the reason why we lost

He was completely clueless in OT.

I haven't disliked a Ducks player as much as I dislike Killorn since Shattenkirk, the human pylon. With two years left on his deal at $6.25M per, one of these nights I'm going to light myself on fire and run screaming out of Honda Center.

killorn out there in OT is just so puzzling that you can't help but laugh
Whatever skills/benefits the most generous supporter of his could claim he still has, none of them are useful in OT haha.

What’s even more baffling is that he has shown 0 hesitation to change literally every single line/combination EXCEPT the one that has been the worst.

I said the exact same thing a week ago. Well, not the fire part… I’ll watch though
