Gulls blew a 2-0 lead and lost in OT, too.

We had 0 shots in OT! ::: sighs :::

Gibby held on as much as he could. He faced two breakaways that lead to goals: 1vG in regulation and 2vG in OT. If we aren't scoring more, then we have to be more than perfect. Our young D did get exposed in this game defensively, though they both did help getting goals on the board. Just need more offense.

Franky broke his stick on the boards after the loss. He's a heart and soul guy and him.not scoring is really getting to him. I feel for him but he needs to get out of it. Especially this is a contract year for him. He knows

I thought they played well. Helleson looks NHL ready in the few games he’s played. Vatrano is getting chances which is what you want, he’s got to put one in eventually. Harkins has really impressed me. Willing to hit, a strong skater and looks dangerous at times. He’s someone who should stick around even when the team gets healthy.

Cronins use of Killorn is still very puzzling. He’s not a first liner and he certainly isn’t someone you put out there on a 3 on 3. The damn referees are faster than him.

The improvement in overall play is clear. It's nice to see the Ducks more competitive. Some players are finally playing up to expectations. I would rather be frustrated with an overtime loss they could have won than getting blown out and scoring meaning goals. All that being said, there are still a number of questionable decisions from the coaching staff. It's hard to justify. Cronin needs to go and they should hire Montgomery.

Vatrano will balance out; it's just a rough stretch. Killorn is the true forward issue. He genuinely kills plays and makes terrible decisions that often result in turnovers. It's astounding how bad he has been. It's also getting harder to justify LaCombe's mistakes each game. I'm not sure why some want to trade Fowler so soon. He's much better than LaCombe right now.

Leo really struggled tonight. He's had games before where he didn't do much because the other team took away his space. Tonight he had space and just didn't make plays. It started with that bad pass to Killorn on the mini 2-on-1.
