QUOTES TO NOTE:

Shatty has really changed our power play and it's become a real threat.
I think that's one part of the game where I really try to learn from him.
The way he plays at the top is really impressive. That's one of the things he does really well.
It always seems like he's in the right place at the right time. When he decided to come here, I was thrilled.
- Brady Skjei

We're moving in the right direction. We're back in the race. Just have to continue to push ourselves here.
There's no secret it's so much more fun to be at the rink, go to practice and travel when you're winning and guys are smiling.
We're going to continue to smile when we get more wins.
- Henrik Lundqvist

There were a lot of things I liked about this game. I liked our start.
I liked the fact that the goals we scored, we scored by going to the tough areas.
Buchy went to the tough areas, Jimmy's both goals were right from in tight.
PK came up big for us tonight, and this was probably the best Hank has looked as far as in control.
There were a lot of good things about tonight.
- Alain Vigneault

Maybe it`s wishful thinking, but he shots a lot and Nash need some puck luck - hopefully this evening if we have plans to continue and maintain our winning streak! :)

Thankfully Nieves is back. Carey wasn't a liability in the couple of games but he really just does nothing. At least Nieves has some passing ability, good skating and seems pretty decent on the boards.

McDonagh will never find his true love to play on his right side. Like freakin' goldilocks

Small sample size, but there are zero reasons for Deangelo to not be in this lineup over someone like Steven Kampfer. I expect him to be back up by Christmas/early January

Players allowing goals against due to bad turnovers looks worse for a coach than players allowing goals against because they're hemmed in their own zone too long. It's self preservation from AV at least in part, IMO.

DeAngelo and him dominated the advanced stats
I would love for the eventual D pairs to be

McDonagh DeAngelo
Skjei Shattenkirk
Staal Smith

I feel like DeAngelo worked so well because he was so composed with the puck on his stick - which is what McDonagh needs from his partner, someone to just make a strong pass out of the D zone after McDonagh wins the battle. Girardi sucked at that.
