if bratt scores tonight, or gets a sick assist, i'll be convinced none of this is luck.
i mean, the kid himself has only been saying he's "been lucky". i hope tonight proves us and him wrong
Was his assist tonight sick enough for you?

The assist wasn't sick. The play to keep the zone was sick. Was his assist tonight sick enough for you?
Definitely, but his vision on the assist was great. He suckered those defenders in bad.The assist wasn't sick. The play to keep the zone was sick.

Weekes and Bylsma on NHL network were gushing about the manipulation of the Leafs D on Bratt's assist. They point out how he passes the puck to Johansson to draw the leafs D behind the net, leaving Zacha all alone in front.
He's legitimately just so impressive. I'm blown away.
His hockey IQ is off the charts in my opinion. The guy is thinking the game at top speed two or three steps ahead.Weekes and Bylsma on NHL network were gushing about the manipulation of the Leafs D on Bratt's assist. and humble. you know he's gonna say something along the lines of "i was just lucky"His hockey IQ is off the charts in my opinion. The guy is thinking the game at top speed two or three steps ahead.
When he started impressing in camp I thought maybe he could be a Martin Erat kind of player - nice 'top 6' forward, good creativity, solid guy to have.
I honestly have no idea what I think his upside is at this point. It is not the 6 points in 3 games. It's just everything he's doing through the neutral zone and in the offensive zone. Somehow he knew on the PK tonight that Gardiner was going to play off him and he could get a quality chance. He made a dynamite pass to Johansson to spring him in the offensive zone. He tried to stickhandle through a Leaf D, got lucky to get the puck back but got it on net and drew a penalty. And I missed half the game watching baseball, so I probably missed some other good stuff he did.
Just wait until we see him 3 on 3.

It’s hard to believe. I’m just waiting for the floor to fall out from under him...I hope it never happensUnreal how good he has been. I can't believe it.
Why was the assist not sick? A one touch pass right on the tape of a wide open player in front of the net. The whole sequence was fantastic, but the pass itself was very nice in it's own right. The assist wasn't sick. The play to keep the zone was sick.
