Any indication as to who will be replaced by Petts? I know there are a lot around here that hate/despise Ceci, but other than a couple dumb penalties, Ceci has been a lot better than Ruh. If I was the one calling the shots, I would run with 7 D, ease Petts back in a little, plus give Matheson a shift or 2 on the 4th line. It's not like the 4th has been great anyways.

Ruh is what he is - A serviceable #7D.

I think the obvious choice is Petts-Ceci as the bottom pairing. Ceci’s been fine in a bottom-pair role.

D at close to healthy is a big improvement here. I still think GMJR did a good job with him retooling the D in trades a FA signings. Adding POJ, Marino, Cici FA and Petts in a trade has certainly helped things. I like Matheson skills and if he can emerge as a good 2nd pairing, all the better. Pens have been playing well and tonight a nice chance to get a big win versa a team that is hungry for a win.
