Pool: 13th Annual C4G WJC Hockey Pool - Draft Paused - Check Post 108

[Canada4Gold]

I Run this pool every year. As was the case last year, your team will consist of 6 forwards, 3 defensemen, and a goalie. Points are awarded for goals, assists, wins and shutouts only. Assists, or in an odd scenario goals by a goalie will count towards your score. You get 1 point per goal, 1 per assist, 2 per win, and 1 additional point for a shutout. That makes 3 point total if your goalie gets a shutout.

The draft will commence shortly. I will generate a random list of the 10 participants for the order, and the draft will proceed in a snake fashion, 1st pick in the 1st round, gets last pick in the 2nd round, 1st pick in the 3rd round, and so on. You have 12 hours to make your pick. If your pick gets skipped, you may enter the thread and make a pick at any time afterwards regardless of how many picks have passed, but you should want to do so immediately because other posters are on the clock and may pick someone you want. If your previous skipped pick is still not made up by the time it comes back to you, you are auto-skipped. For the purpose of keeping the draft going at a good pace, please make your pick if you know it's your pick and have time to do so. Don't wait around for hours thinking about it because you can.

If you know you won't be online for a while please PM(Conversation) me a list of who you'd like to select when your next pick comes up. For instance if there are 4 picks before you, you can PM(Conversation) me a list of 5 players, the highest guy I the list I will pick for you when your pick comes up. I will not look at your PM until it is your pick so as to not influence my pick, but please put something in the PM title making me aware that it is a list of players for potential pick so I won't look at it. If you're on the end of the snake and want me to use your list to make multiple picks please say so. I won't use your list for multiple picks unless you say so because maybe you wanted 1 forward and a defenceman but the top 2 guys on your list is a forward or something.

Once you make your pick, please PM(Start a conversation with) the next GM to inform them it's their turn to pick. Some posters get email notification of a new PM(Conversation) so they can come on HF quickly and pick. Some who are on HF will notice they have a new PM(Conversation) and come to their forum to pick. No editing picks after you post them, once you click post reply the pick is final.
If you pick someone who hurts themselves in camp, doesn't get released to participate in the world juniors doesn't get named to the team, or is removed from the tournament for covid protocols you can only replace these guys after the entire draft is complete. There will be a replacement draft at the end of the draft with picks in order which they were made in the draft. You can only replace players which you can show they won't be participating. You can't say, that was a crappy pick, I want to switch it, and get a replacement draft pick. You pick someone who's playing, you're stuck with them.
