The Ducks already have a -200 shot attempt differential and -150 shot differential.

Tonight could be very similar to the Calgary game where we absolutely kicked their teeth in but run into a hot goalie. John Gibson has been on another planet this season when it comes to goaltending. Y’all remember how stupid good Hank was in the lockout year and the year before? Gibson is somehow pacing to outperform that.

He was my preseason pick for the Vezina.

Gibson is what people think Vasilevsky is.

I could see this game going a lot like the Calgary game. Lot of pressure from us but not enough finish to beat Gibson.

Could be, then again it could also become one of those (happens FOR us, like only 3x a year) puck luck type games. Where we actually play very well offensively and everything seems to be finding the back of the net.

Our PP has been decent and some guys are really waking up and playing very well. I'm looking for another good game from Shatty, Vesey will put one in for sure (he's been so damned gritty) Zuccha will score another, as he has been on a mission doing "what was told of him to do" as he doesn't want to leave.

And I'm gonna be the one to call Chytil the Beatle's 1st goal.
Gonna say Hayes as well, he's been good offensively and was looking so frustrated at times, but sooner or later if he just "shoots the dang puck, instead of an afterthought, it will go in.

So.....Shatty (PPG), Vesey, Chytil, Zuccha and Hayes.....that's 5!

Rangers need the Geico hypnotist.

Hypnotist: "Kevin, when I snap my fingers, you're going to shoot the puck instead of holding it."
Kevin Hayes: "... I should shoot the puck instead of holding it."
Hypnotist: "Thank you, Kevin."

Hypnotist: "Filip, you go make me a frittata."

Still recovering from seeing a Chris Kreider one-time slapshot.
I've said for as far back as 2 seasons ago, Kreider should be moved to RW. There have been little spurts where I've seen him on the right side, just due to where he had to go for the puck and he always looked like he could be a more dynamic scorer. This isn't his first 1-timer from the right side, although the other times would be hard to hunt down being very few. On the RW, when he gets to streaking down the boards with the puck, he has so many more shooting options if he creates any space, shooting through defender screen or cutting into the middle on his forehand rather than back hand. On the left side, he streaks and has that one shot from top of the circle or the cut-in back hand.
