If you want to say the margin from 48 percent to 52 percent isn't Earth shattering I can buy that, but the issue is that for almost a decade we have not had a guy that is a situational ace in the dot to help this team. For how long our best/go to faceoff guy has been a 4th liner

Don’t forget set plays that are vital to a face off win.
We used to do it with Kreider, even deep in our end, just to use his speed for a break away. Grabner too in his 27 goal year.
Not to mention a set shot with little time left that all depends on a face off win.
The notion that having possession off the draw anywhere on the ice is somehow unimportant is just foolish.

It's a possession league and fow directly leads to possession. The notion that they don't matter is archaic...
