Other than the 6v4 being shit, I really liked our battle level after the 1st period. Shame we just didn't generate enough Grade A/(partial) open net chances. Sucks to lose, but I honestly didn't expect us to win tonight.

I understand it's played with high stick but the opposing team touched the puck after skinner/nurse. Wouldn't that omit high stick rule? Or bc it was a goal play it don't matter?

Bad offensive effort, worse defensive one. Vasy played great and is the only reason they didn't lose 5-1. Have to be able to score more than one against Skinner and that defense though.

Pretty sure the refs were trying to call it dead as soon as Paul played it off a high stick. The play continued, which it shouldn't have I think, but there's no way anything that happened after was going to get overturned in Tampa's favor, unfortunately.

The defense gave up multiple break aways and it cost them the gwg in the 2nd. They were better in the 3rd but not good enough.

Nah, he's actually pretty bad at times and a good above average goalie at others. He's fine but nothing special. We just didn't generate enough Grade A chances.

the play should have been blown dead when paul hit the puck above his shoulders, the broadcast was talking about the crossbar but that didn't have to do with anything in this scenario (I think)

I f***ing hate it when we lose to this team. Vasy was great but we bottled it with giving up great chances to two players you don't give great chances to when you expect to win.

The game was very much winnable but it's okay I guess if we handle the Flames in the next one.
