I think this is the first game all season I've watched where you need to list out all the penalties. Krieder getting 17 minutes in penalties is always fun.

Double whammy for the Rangers there. Lose Kreider for most of the rest of regulation, Stepan maybe concussed...while Ottawa loses a 4th line stiff for 7 minutes.

I'm honestly not a fan of fighting but it's a disgrace that Kreider got 17 and the scrub he beat up got 2 while Stepan might be injured. I get 2 and 5, why the **** was the 10 necessary?

It is required by Rule 46.11

A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be both the instigator and aggressor of an altercation shall be assessed an instigator minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting, a ten-minute misconduct (instigator) and a game misconduct penalty (aggressor).

From 1992-96 it was an automatic game misconduct for instigating.

It wasn't a nationally televised game. Hence why you could watch on GCL and it was blacked out in TSN5.

Despite it being a 1-1 regulation plus OT game, that was insane. Rangers were the better team IMO
