[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

We wanted to have a good start. We’ve been getting scored on first a lot this season.
It’s tough playing catch up in this league. That first goal is important. We ended up getting 2 so that was huge for us and we were able to close it up.
- Marc Staal

I don’t know if I had a goal in mind, but I guess just get pucks to the net and had one that went through him so I’ll take that.
I’m just trying to stay even keel here. Obviously, it was nice for me but even better we got the win on home ice and a big bounce back from last game.
We just have to keep looking forward.
- J.T. Miller

Miller, what is he? 19? He has a lot of puck poise for such a young kid.
To have kids come in and start filling in here is good stuff.
- John Tortorella

Yeah just put him in for Asham. It's ridiculous how much better Boyle is than Asham.

Game-time decision.

What is this ********? How "banged up" can he be 8 games into the season (not counting the games he didn't play)? Either he has an actual injury or friggin play. How is it that he can miss a 3rd straight game because he's "banged up"?

I feel like Torts should show Boyle some trust and see if sitting lit a fire. Put em on a giant line with Nash. Try this:

Hagelin Richards Gaborik
Pyatt Boyle Nash
Miller Stepan Callahan (give miller less defensive responsibility by putting him on wing)
Kreider Halpern Powe (that line is fast, work Kreider in on the top lines)

Sit Asham - tb doesnt fight.

That's deep

Boyle on the second line. My head exploded.

Yep, Tampa is not a goon team as far as I know. Boyle is much better at playing hockey than Asham. BTW, this 4th line will better than the 3rd line we had against Pittsburgh.

Man that's cool

The returns from injury obviously helped, but i also credit Sather for some swift moves.

I think now is the time we see the real Henrik Lundqvist that has carried this team on his back single-handily for 7 years.
