So what's Quinn going to do if the NYR ever play the NYI in the playoffs either this year or next? Claim Georgiev is starting because of his record? My point is he'd start Igor then. He should start him tonight.
And if he doesnt, and we should come 5th, only 1 point behind 4th place Islanders, well then......I guess we will have a game to single out. Advice to Quinn, avoid 2nd guessing AND do not lose tonight IF you play Georgiev. Winning covers that would be mistake.

I hope everyone would like to see Strome succeed. Both for the immediate gains, and also for the hopeful increased eventual trade value.

Glad they went with Shesty. I like Georgiev as a backup and would like to see him get a lot of the NYI games, but I'd like to see Shesty get on a roll first.

I just wonder will he get both games against the Bruins as well?

This board went from Communist Russia to the land of the free, over the last few years.

Ah so the lazy took over. Got It

Eh his comment was harmless.

But agree on your point. There are certain posters here who wouldn't have lasted a day on these boards a few years ago.

I am kidding, just joshing with some peeps....

Given that this is the youngest team in the league, how much "winning" would constitute success?

Overachieving last year was not considered success?

Also, seems to me that folks 'round these parts cannot have it both ways. If you count winning as the only success, then you cannot also get on the coach for riding his veterans at times of the game.
I’m not saying I agree with it, but that’s the way it is. I said in my post that it may be unfair, but it’s the truth.

coach who has proven nothing gets second guessed until he deserves not to be. It’s pretty normal.

I don't think DQ could have gone wrong either way here, because there are valid points on both goalies.

Shesty:
- is on a roll that needs to keep going
- is the better goalie
- we just had a 3 day break
- only 3 games this week (though it's 2 against the bruins later)

Georgijev:
- has a very good record against the Islanders
- needs to get back going after all the bs last week
- if DQ isn't going to go all out with Shesty this week, this would have probably been the easiest game to give to Georgijev

Whatever, as long as they win. Hoping for more production from the Panarin - Strome - Kakko line. Would be nice to see a big game from Lafreniere as well, confidence is key with young players and not scoring any points or playing fantastic in other ways can sink in fast...
