@bennysflyers16

This is for you.

Bruce Dickinson is quoted in a farewell to the 747 article. Not exactly what I expected when looking into financial news today. I am humored.

SEATTLE/PARIS, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Boeing's BA.N 747, the original and arguably most aesthetic "Jumbo Jet", revolutionized air travel only to see its more than five-decade reign as "Queen of the Skies" ended by more efficient twinjet planes.

The last commercial Boeing jumbo will be delivered to Atlas Air AAWW.O in the surviving freighter version on Tuesday, 53 years after the 747's instantly recognizable humped silhouette grabbed global attention as a Pan Am passenger jet.

"On the ground it's stately, it's imposing," said Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of Iron Maiden who piloted a specially liveried 747 nicknamed "Ed Force One" during the British heavy metal band's tour in 2016.

"And in the air it's surprisingly agile. For this massive airplane, you can really chuck it around if you have to."

I wish I still had picture. But years ago I think it was Icelandic air ??? Used to use their plane for some sort of regular route. Was on plane to Vegas and was sitting right beside us at Wpg airport. Giant picture of Eddy on it

Their most sophisticated subs are mostly old enough now that, with Russia's poor refit and maintenance capabilities, they are no longer stealthy. It's unlikely they can leave the Barents (or even port) without being tracked the whole way. Russia is pretty bad at the stealth thing overall, actually.

Nuclear torpedoes aren't very effective for strikes. They also have shit range relative to other nuclear delivery methods.

It's not a thing I'd worry about
All of the things for which you give reasons to indicate aren't worrisome still seem pretty worrisome to me.

what do people with high post counts drive?

Personally, I would like to see a ceasefire or negotiated settlement but sadly the march of folly and zero sum game approach to the conflict continues. Putin got his punch in the nose....gross miscalculation to his aggression like the US in Iraq.....both thought they would be received with flowers and the mission would be accomplished in short order. Instead the flowers wound up on millions of graves....

Oh and this shows how much of a racket war truly is...

Just to put a bow on the pride discussion. I know a lot of people were scrambling to prove that they are the most woke when it comes to drag. Let me remind you that I lived in Thailand for six years. I win. Suck it, chancers. Also, f*** off, Wolfgang, you stupid mountain man motherf***er.

Michael Tracey is not a good source. Dude is completely, totally nuts. He's firmly convinced the US is the most relentlessly evil thing in the world, and the cause of everything bad that happens. He is not reasonable.

I don't understand anything about this post, but I have to say I need more of it.

She probably didn't think the scheme all the way through.

Can't really just wing this sort of thing.
