the active shooter video i had to watch at work was entertaining at the least
I put together a really good active shooter training at an old job a couple of years ago. A lot of time went into it and tons of research. Kept politics out of it and when I was done I really felt I had something good. I did the feedback forms at the end and a couple of people in the same class said the training was "too dark".

Welcome to America.

Took a trip to Cape Lookout for a couple days. Yurts are great way to stay on the coast without spending a lot.

I believe the rocks off in the distance were filmed in a scene for Goonies

Ours was terrible.
“Hide! Barricade the door!”
Ok cool, that’s great!
Then the people doing so posted up along a sheet rock wall separating them from the gunman rather than putting anything else between them and the gunman. They were trying to hide from the doorway.
I get not everything is going to be perfect and companies are pressured to provide some form of training, but it’s not in-depth enough imo and the police officers that help provide the training are not trained well enough themselves.

I am recommending dismantiling the Flyers front office and replacing it with ChatGPT..

Good article...Google feeling the heat from open source AI...one way to bust their information monopoly.

Most active shooting training is flawed....but it is still better than no training IMO...

With as flimsy and cheap as the average modular rented office space is, you're probably better off marking where all the studs and wiring are so people can Kool-Aid dive through the walls to get at the shooter before he thinks to blast through them.

Or draw circles on the wall to aim your return fire at.

The Child: "I want all my baby teeth to fall out and be replaced by tongues"

It was 8am. It's too f***ing early to say that to anyone.

My sister's 6 year old lost a tooth yesterday and they forgot to be the tooth fairy. Luckily, she woke up sick today so my sister told her, "The tooth fairy didn't come because she didn't want to catch what you have because then she wouldn't be able to be the tooth fairy for everyone else." That excuse worked until her husband, who was unaware of the first excuse, came up with, "Sometimes the tooth fairy is too busy to get to everyone in one night, but if she is late she gives you even more money."

Now they have to give her more money. She asked "Like a hundred dollars?". Suckers.

Did it have students throwing balls at the shooter? Because in the ALICE Training they make teachers go through, throwing balls at the shooter and having the students "attack the shooter in a swarming fashion" is your best options when confronted by the shooter.

Most active shooting training is flawed....but it is still better than no training IMO...

Active Shooter Training isn't as good as oh I don't know, limiting the ability/possibility for a ton of bullets to be fired in your direction at any point you're participating in society. I'll never understand how our "best" solution to this problem is to give people strategies to survive having a ton of bullets being fired in your direction at any point you're participating in society.

Or we could simply use the laws, policies, and procedures that are currently in place.
Kind of crazy though how criminals don’t follow the law anyway
