I was thinking now is the time the Canes pick a d-man with good skating, is around 6'2-6'4, somewhat limited offensively and American---well, 3 out of 4 is pretty good.

Eh, I have my doubts. Obviously he’s bigger than the competiton at that level, which makes things so much easier. But that advantage will disappear at the pro level, and he’s likely to regress. By the time he gets the Canes we’ll be lucky if he’s 5’6”.

So we can simply put him on Fensore's shoulders and wrap them in one uniform. Et voila! A complete defenseman!
