We had a lot of little things that were just a bit off. No biggie, second game of a B2B but we can't be hopelessly inconsistent.

Now it's over, and I can say what my biggest complaint this game was.

The match ups. With the last change, why are we putting Stamkos out there against Zajac? That line is a good defensive/puck possession line - match them with Flip and give Stamkos an easier match up.

True test is our western swing. Didn't think we'd score much tonight. Never seem to when we score a bunch the previous night. I expect a better game for the next one.

Also, credit to the Devils - they played solidly and were tough as hell on the puck. I don't know if it was freshness or whatever, but they were winning the puck battles - which is a change from the past few games.

Still, 5 points in the first 4 games. We'll get back at it Friday(?).
