Pre-Game Talk: 10/12: Kings Season Opener vs. San Jose

Kings confirm their home opener, opening up the 50th anniversary against an old rival.



The Kings and Flyers were not too fond of each other back when they used to be in the same division.



 
A cool nod to history, but it'll be weird opening the season with the Flyers against the Kings. I usually like to work myself up to those games.
 
I wanna see their Western Conference Championship banner!

And the Pens open against the Caps. I really like that the NHL loves to rub it in against the reigning champs' bitter rivals. I know we lost the opening game vs San Jose in 2014-15 but it was still nice to remind them about 2014.

Yep, it's going to get raised right next to that regular season champs banner. Glorious.
