Not a troll post but wonder how much the lack of success for the the rangers ( One can argue bottom 10 in all of sports when you factor in the number of teams in the league for much of this time, lack of a salary cap and market size. ) has played into the hastily made decisions by the owners over the years. I think this has accelerated in the last 40 years as small market expansion teams in this area ( devils, islanders) have won a combined 7 cups to the rags 1. It's almost as if the organization is pressing rather then waiting for a fat pitch.
I totally understand the frustation and embarrassment with winning 1 cup in the last 81 years but wonder if the rags are just "wash,rinse,repeat" every few years.
