I'd say its beyond time. Its year 3, the team still has no discernable identity, not really sure what our structure is beyond pond hockey. Team usually seems disjointed, and I struggle to think of a kid who has come up through the system and blossomed under Quinn.
Fox, Lindgren, DeAngelo, Buchnevich. Heck, throw Strome in.

It’s year 3 brother. Make or break time
What is the expectation here? Last year, they overachieved. Now after 1 game, it is make or break time? This is still a flawed team. AND YOUNG. It is a bubble team. What are your expectations here? And you arrive at your conclusion after ONE GAME?

Gotta admit. The panic button was pushed waaaay earlier that I give a lot of people around here credit for. And oh, my. Some of the expectations are through the roof if you believe that this is some sort of a power house already.

Yeah, I’m hoping that we can ultimately chalk this one up to rustiness but man, that looked like an epic coaching failure in top of a few unready/unfit players in the lineup.

JMFJ needs to go. I’m fine with K’s growing pains. Kakko needs to start showing much more assertiveness.
Guys that are big...have to play like they are big and create space for themselves and knock guys off their stride and on their ass from time to time....don't see enough of that from NY. Hitting changes the complexion of a game ..not fighting...but hitting as it sends a message that should ripple through a bench and lift spirits such that the next line out can build on it . We need more of that in games as skill alone is simply not enough . We have a few guys that have to change up their games a bit especially when we play a club like the Isles . Anyways...maybe some of them might get that ....time will tell . Gotta also shoot the puck and crash to the net hard more often . We'll see what chnges take place next game...and not sure what happened to Shesty....did his girlfriend dump him in the pregame ? Nothing deflates a club faster than a bad goal or two.

Quinn has Lemieux and Howden on PP2 kakko not on it

this guy is going to ruin this player if he hasn’t already.
No Kakko or Chytil.

Ridiculous. If Kakko indeed busts it’s going to be Quinn’s fault more than anyone else’s.

He is Gorton and Drury’s guy, they’re going to 100% keep him around longer than he deserves to be here. He will ruin prospects and the team will underachieve and he will stick around bc he’s their guy. Hopefully JD doesn’t love him as much as they do.

I listed it a page back already
You mean this?

kakko and gauthier both demoted taking the teeth out of the third line while moving lafreniere to right wing a position he doesn’t play.

Kakko was invisible. Gauthier has no hockey IQ and was only slightly better. Moving Lafreniere is something that many here were clamoring for claiming it was easy. I doubt very much that it stays that way.

And again, IT HAS BEEN ONE GAME!

Quinn had a plan to use Kakko, Laf, KAM, and Tony a certain way. When things start to sour, he'll go back to what he's comfortable with, demoting Tony, playing Johnson 20 minutes a night, subbing Howden for all the other prospects we have that are supposed to get an opportunity. It took 1 period. Quinn doesn't know what to do with Kakko. That's the reality. There's no hope for Kakko under Quinn. Trade Kakko or fire Quinn.
