Well said. One game. When the team is as young as this there will be many uneven performances. The season will be roller coaster like.Boys it was one game against the isles. The isles played more, they had no signifcant turnover, and every guy has been playing their system for at least a year or two. We just changed our d system completely as well as added more babies. Theres gonna be nights like this and theres gonna be nights where we obliterate someone we shoupdnt. Strap in, this is gonna be a very turbulent season.
The overreactions are amazing. A conflation of so many events. Waiting for hockey to finally start. Excitement about Lafreniere. Excitement about young players and vets like Panarin. Then they come out completely flat and not bother showing up. Expectations are crushed. But it is just one game. The youngest team in the league was taken to school by a veteran team with a veteran coach. If this becomes a trend, then there is worry. But one game does not make a trend. And no, what happened during the playoff bubble does not count here.
