Parros was a college kid and one of the toughest guys in the league same with our old buddy Tanner Glass :sarcasm:
I'm not going to expect him to be Tanner Glass right away. Don't want to put that kind of pressure on him.

I'm sure there was some learning curve for Parros and Glass after college. And I believe both played in leagues with fighting before college.

Great first match up for a very young, very skilled team that hasn't played team D at all. The Isles are a machine. A f***ing boring machine but still one that can be highly effective. For the Rangers to succeed they have to figure out how to beat shit teams that can effectively kill all offense, passing and creativity. I'm not sure they have this figured out yet but might as well get started tonight.
IDC what kind of boring machine they are. If we become the offensive powerhouse that we might someday realize, they could only stop us for so long. This is why our PP needs to get even better, I'm talking LETHAL better. Put enough pressure on them, eventually they take penalties and then "seek, kill and destroy".

Hating the fact that Smith appears to be sitting "in favor of", Jack Johnson. If its because of PK, I thought Smith did a more than admiral job last year.

Also, assuming we already have an idea on our 1st two lines, I am really excited about our 3rd line. Man, if that 3rd line really gets cohesive in any kind of way......we're golden.

I know it won't happen but I would love this schedule whenever we get back to 82 game seasons. I love it.
Said that a couple days ago. Wont happen, but I bet the NHL takes a good hard look at it for many obvious and not so obvious reasons. 6 vs each team would be good enough (rivalries/4pt games), less travel (maybe little to no West games) and spread remainder around elsewhere.

It will be the Lafreniere era if he lives up to the hype.

That’s just the way it goes. If Lafreniere reaches the ceiling people have projected for him, he’ll be the face of the franchise for 15+ years.

The first of eight matchups with the Isles....gotta luv it!.

This is first time in a long ass time that both teams at the same time are good enough at the same time to have playoff aspirations at the SAME TIME and that's how a rivalry gets fostered.

It's about god damn time that this rivalry get back to it's rightful place as the best rivalry in the league. Now it may never get to the point of where it was in the 80's but nothing like 8 games vs these SOB's to get the juices flowing.

Rangers 3....Philes 2 with Buchie getting the GW.

So friggen pumped for the season...let's do this!

If this game is on NHLN and I have the NHL.tv app. Can I watch it on the app or will it be blacked out? Location Buffalo NY
And I am out of market and STILL very concerned. I swear I think I remember that NHL network blacked me out from NHL.tv. Better not happen tonight. Otherwise I have to scramble and call DirecTV.

It's weird, at some points it seemed like they didn't black out NHL Network games and sometimes they did
kinda hit or miss

Or maybe it was obvious that DeAngelo playing on his off-side for entire games against top competition was a really bad idea? Or maybe Miller showed something?
Gotta be obvious he showed "more than something". Didnt think he was gonna make opening roster, regardless how good he was. Supposedly not even close to being polished, and very new to defensive position. So, what gives? Are we that horrific and desperate? Naaah, he showed more than enough.....size, speed and raw talent. Just needs some "never dull" or "Brasso".

NHL Network really isn't relevant as they don't own any broadcast rights, they just simulcast stuff. However, the game is also on NBCSN, which means you should be blacked out of it on NHL.tv unfortunately, since you are in the US.
