Kakko is very quickly becoming a huge disappointment.

Now, I still have a TON of hope for him and I do think he ends up as a solid 1st line player. But he is purely a complementary player and has not shown that he can drive the play.

I’m not ready to throw in with this line of thinking just yet, but when people call me crazy for suggesting that I’d be all over a Kakko for Zegras swap...

Kakko looks better than the player he was last year. He’s had chances, been in good places. It’ll come. Anyone making any serious judgements off game one of this bizzaro season needs to slow it down. It’s all fun and fine to joke around to cope, but we shouldn’t be expressing any serious concerns until at least 3-5 games have gone by.

Hockey is back. We’ve got a whole season ahead of us. Laf looks as exciting as we wanted. I’m content.

I can’t help feel like if that puck goes in, it’s a non issue and we’re talking about how Panarin looks as off as he did against Carolina.
