One presumes that Trotz will do anything to prevent the game from becoming a track meet. I would expect to see the neutral zone being clogged up most of the night.

Yeah I think we're all excited to see an excitting game but the Isles gameplan is to really clog things up and slow it down, so it might be a bit of a tough watch

My hope is that since it's early season they'll be sloppy and our guys can take advantage

so how upset and then how many quick excuses are we going to make when Jack Hughes has a big night and Kakko and Laf are fairly quiet

When I login to NHL.tv there are grayed out options to watch tonight. Yesterday, there was not.
I have a strong feeling it will be available.
It's a new thing. It's grayed out because it's not time yet.

seems like the classic matchup game.

speed and talent vs a system team who plays the trap.

history hasent been kind to us with teams like this.

our top 6 >than theirs. bottom 6 maybe they are better

our pp for sure better. their pk better.

goaltending shows no advantage either way.

our speed = their penalties = pp chances = our path to a win.

NYR 4
piles 2

bread. tony. strome. mika.

It is a joke, I live in England and have the NHL subscription that is a over a 100 pounds, to be able to watch all the games I also have to have BT Sports and Premier Sports. Tonights game is on BT. I think it is wrong that the NHL Live is blacked out over games broadcasted behind the paid channels. I pay 3 times now to watch my team play.

Jesus. I pay 29.99€ with that i see:

- Every NHL game (HD)
- Every Finnish league game (HD and every week random game is 4K)
- KHL (HD)

Hah I'm just trying to temper my expectations because I remember I was hyped last year but the team had lots of ups and downs

If I were the Fishsticks, my game plan would be to hit the #2 rookie D hard every chance I get.
Attack the shit out of that side of the ice.
Match up your top line against the NYR 3rd and 4th lines..

I mean that's the gameplan of basically every team against every other team so yeah

I think the Rangers will try to protect Miller a bit and Lindgren and Fox will get more usage against the Islanders top line and the Rangers will have to be a bit careful about their young line getting trapped out on the ice against the Isles top lines.

But again that's kinda basic NHL strategy...attack the weak links or rookies, try to get your top line out against the other teams weaker lines, etc

Praying you arr right. This anxiety i am feeling about wth to do is killing me. There is NO WAY I am missing tonights ganme. Even if it costs me lots of extra money MORE than I already pay. Sometimes I wish NHL network and especially that bullshit NBCSN didnt exist. They just suck, suck, suck our hard earned money out of us.

How to win every NHL game.

- Attack young D
- Get your best players our against their worst players
- Send bodies to the net.
- Take shots from high danger areas
- Have your goalie make big saves in crucial moments/
- Hope the other team doesn't do the above better than you do.
