I cut the cable a while ago and do Hulu TV and all the other things but nothing comes with NHLN. I don't know what's going to happen tonight. So to make sure I don't miss a second I did the 7 day trial from fubu tv which comes with NHL network if you select it in the trial. just to be sure! Hope this helps if anyone is worried about missing the action. Be safe and Enjoy! LGR

Yeah, that was my experience as well. NHLN games were blacked out for me last year. But MetalJaws experienced otherwise. So, hard to tell what's going to occur tonight.

Rick Carpinello was asked about this a bit and his thought was that it wasn't just that one scrimmage that changed the coaches minds about DeAngelo-Trouba but all the practices and the fact that they can go back and look at the tape from practices etc and he figures they just saw stuff they didn't like or didn't see things they were looking for and Miller just forced the issue as well.
I think the Rangers weren't that excited about DeAngelo on the left but if he had looked great with Trouba they might have run with it even with Miller having a good camp

It's not on NBCSN. There's no hockey on the schedule for that channel tonight.

That's weird, because 2 seasons ago NHL network games were blacked out, but last year it wasn't an issue.

So that and the probability that the coaches did not like what they were seeing with DeAngelo on the left and never wanted him there to begin with, probably sealed the deal.
 
I am very interested to see Kakko. Lots of hype with new additions and the great players already on the squad, but year 2 for him is all the opportunity in the world. He's had time off, which he barely had going into last season. They haven't really talked about him. Lots of focus on other guys, but getting the first crack with Panarin and Strome is big. With Lafreniere getting a lot of the attention, he can go under the radar a little bit and really show something.

That's great if they don't black it out because of that. Simulcasts are a great thing imo. Need more, not less imo. Need a lot more.

I've sent my annual angry email to NHL.com telling what assholes they are for not showing a game on NHL.TV when I pay for the Rangers games for NHL.TV and they're showing the game on NHL TV (no dot). Nothing like preventing THEIR fans from watching a game they paid for. What an incompetent bunch.
 
I’m so hyped, I’m dieting in the new year (down 9.2lbs already) but going to order a pizza for this game.
I might be picking up a Herman Miller Aeron chair after the game too, should be a great day. Any of you guys have experience with these chairs? I’ve used nothing but junk chairs from amazon made to look like Aeron’s and they last 1 year each and they feel like crap, might as well invest in a good chair

Been thinking of getting one of those subscription services to view hockey games this year (I moved clear across the country this summer, and can't count on seeing as many games on TV). Anyone have any experience with these? If I mainly just want to watch Rangers games, which service is the best option?

My cable provider gives me NHL Center Ice for free
